、The two-wheeled vehicle locator is a core safety device for two-wheeled vehicles such as electric bicycles and electric motorcycles, integrating technologies such as satellite positioning (GPS/BDS/GLONASS), wireless communication (GSM/GPRS), and battery management.
The locator can be directly powered by the battery of the electric bike. It has a high-voltage step-down conversion module inside to adapt to batteries of different voltage ranges (ultra-wide voltage ranging from 9V to 90V). On the other hand, the locator is equipped with a spare lithium battery to prevent the positioning module from not working and losing the anti-theft positioning function after the battery is removed. The core challenge lies in addressing the static electricity and surge threats faced by battery systems in scenarios such as cycling, charging, and storage

The Thunderbolt adopts the SMBJ100CA TVS diode with Vrwm=100V, and is compatible with 48V/60V/72V battery systems. Even in a fully charged state (such as when a 72V battery is charged to 86.4V), it still retains a 15% safety margin. Quickly clamp the surge voltage and use a PPTC self-resetting fuse to prevent overcurrent. It meets the requirements of ISO 7637-2 pulse 3a/b test and effectively suppresses transient interferences such as motor start and stop, and charging plugging and unplugging.
Leiditech recommends using SD03CW for electrostatic surge protection of the IC power port, suitable for a working voltage of 3.3V, with a small SOD-323 package to save space. It meets IEC61000-4-2, Grade 4, with contact discharge at 30KV and air discharge at 30KV.

Antenna anti-static: The thunderbolt adopts a 3.3V low junction capacitance diode ULC3311CDN or a 5V low junction capacitance ESD diode ULC0511CDN30, which meets the electrostatic surge protection requirements of the antenna interface. With ultra-low capacitance, it can ensure signal integrity and comply with IEC61000-4-2 (Class 4). If it is necessary to meet the IEC61000-4-5 surge test requirements, a GDT device should be set up at the front end. SMD4532-090NF or 2R090-5S, etc. can be selected.
Among the current mainstream solutions for two-wheeled vehicle locators, apart from power supply and antenna, audio, UI buttons, flash memory, display interface, reserved USB upgrade port and sensor I2C interface, etc., due to the relatively low probability of static surge triggering in the usage scenarios, most solutions do not have mandatory protection design.
