Lightning protection scheme for DC 48V/60V power supply of outdoor equipment
Shanghai Leiditech Electronics recommends a lightning protection scheme for outdoor equipment DC 48V (or 60V) power supply.There are four options to choose from:
1、 Traditional protection plan

2、 Simplified protection plan
2.1: Using two SM8S33CA or SM8S30CA of Leiditech in series, it can withstand 4KV

2.2: Using a single AK3-058C from Leiditech, it can pass 6KV
2.3 Using a single LTKAK10-058C from Leiditech, it can withstand 20KV
If you want to test common mode surges, please add GDT: 2R090-5S and connect it to GND to the ground, as shown in Figure 1
