PESD1CAN analysis of LEIDITECH SMC24 instead of NXP
SMC24:
IEC61000-4-2 (ESD) ±30kV (air), ±30kV (contact)
Package: SOT-23
VRWM: 24v
IPP:8A
VC:48V
Two-way
Purpose: to protect CANBUS bus
PESD1CAN:
IEC 61000-4-2, level 4 (ESD)
Package: SOT-23
VRWM: 24v
IPP:3A
VC:70V
Two-way
Purpose: to protect CANBUS bus
Judging whether ESD is good or bad depends on the following parameters:
1. Anti-static ability, generally up to standard.
2. Look at the surge resistance of ESD, that is, IPP capability. Under the 8/20us test condition, LEIDITECH's SMC24 ipp is 8A and NXP is 3A.
3. Look at the climbing voltage. If the slope is steep, it should be flat, that is, there is little difference between VRWM, VB and VC, so it is good. LEIDITECH's SMC24 VC is 48V, and NXP's PESD1CAN is 70V.
In order to meet the market demand, Leiditech will produce products with low IPP, reduce some costs, and make products with 3A IPP, and at the same time, VC will be lower to 33V. Much better than NXP's 70V.
Customers should keep their eyes open and choose the best price-performance ratio. Leimao professional service for you.
