3.27 Unmanned Forklift
Unmanned forklifts, also known as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) or Automated Guided Vehicles, are important tools for achieving material handling automation.
Working principle: The unmanned forklift integrates advanced navigation and control algorithms, including but not limited to laser radar, cameras, sensors, and more. These technologies work together to enable forklifts to autonomously navigate, perceive the surrounding environment, plan the optimal path, and safely and effectively perform handling tasks.
Lidar: Provides accurate distance measurement and obstacle detection, ensuring that forklifts can move safely in complex environments.
Camera: Visual recognition technology helps forklifts understand the environment, identify signs, cargo locations, etc.
Sensors: including but not limited to infrared and ultrasonic sensors, used for close range detection of obstacles and assisting in precise positioning.
Navigation system: Based on technologies such as magnetic stripes, QR codes, laser SLAM (real-time positioning and map construction), or GPS, it achieves precise positioning and path planning.
