Face recognition system is a kind of Biometrics technology for identity recognition based on the facial feature information of thousands of people. Users collect images or video streams containing faces through cameras or cameras, process them, transmit them to programmable logic chips, and display them on the frequency screen. After digital signal processing, the detected faces are recognized and compared with the face data in the system, and uploaded through Ethernet interfaces.
In terms of face recognition, from the upstream of the industrial chain, domestic manufacturers (represented by Huawei and Cambrian) have strong strength in chip design. In chip manufacturing, except for mobile phones and other devices that require high chip precision, domestic manufacturers have the ability to manufacture chips. But the manufacturing process and basic components of high-end chips are monopolized by foreign countries, becoming a bottleneck that restricts the development of upstream manufacturers. From the perspective of facial recognition algorithms, domestic manufacturers have advantages, but data privacy issues and algorithm performance fairness issues caused by race/region are urgent issues that domestic manufacturers need to solve.
