2.7.1 Lightning Protection Scheme for 100-Megabit Network Interface Transformers
Advantages of the solution: To meet the lightning protection and static surge protection requirements for outdoor network ports, this solution adopts the FC1680C-LM network transformer and combines the anti-static component ULC332010T8 to construct a highly reliable two-level protection architecture. This solution can effectively ensure the integrity of the network port signal and its protection performance fully complies with international standards: it meets the IEC61000-4-2 Level 4 standard, withstanding contact discharge of 30kV and air discharge of 30kV; it also meets the strict tests of the IEC61000-4-5 standard under a 10/700μs waveform and 40Ω impedance, with ±5 times 6kV surge impact; providing a solid guarantee for the stable operation of network ports in outdoor harsh environments.
