3.5 MIDI Instrument Digital Interface Electrostatic Protection Scheme
Solution Introduction: The full name of MIDI is Musical Instrument Digital Interface, which is an interface standard specifically designed for musical instruments. There are three types of interfaces for MIDI: MIDI OUT, MIDI IN, and MIDI THRU. This solution lists three interface protection schemes.
Solution Benefits: Low capacitance GBLC05C is used for data electrostatic protection, and SD05C is used for power electrostatic protection. Protective devices for electrostatic discharge can be selected as GBLC03C and SD03C if the power and data voltages are 3.3V. It ensures signal integrity and meets IEC61000-4-2, level 4, contact discharge 30KV, and air discharge 30KV.
