18.2 RS485 Surge Protection Solution
Solution Advantages: This solution uses two-level protection. The first level adopts GDT for surge protection, and the second level uses ESD diodes for electrostatic discharge protection. The ESD protection meets the IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) standard of ±30kV (air) and ±30kV (contact). The surge protection level is 8/20µs, 5KA.
