11.1 Static Protection Scheme for Daisy-Chain Communication of Automotive BMS
Advantages of the solution: The Daisy Chain communication is a high-speed differential isolation communication achieved through pulse transformers. In this solution, the input pin of the IC power supply adopts ESDA05CP with low recovery time (Ipp = 8A (8 / 20μs) VC = 7.2V), effectively protecting the downstream chips. The signal end uses LM-PESD5V0F1BLD-Q with low junction capacitance of 0.3PF, a small-volume DFN1006 package, and a split discrete device is used for ESD protection; It is convenient for wiring, can filter out noise to ensure signal integrity, and meets IEC61000-4-2 (level 4) and IEC61000-4-5 6A (8/20μs); If using dual channels, ULC0502P3Q can be selected.
