Service Robot
Service robots are semi autonomous or fully autonomous robots that can replace robots that engage in service-oriented work in various application scenarios. Service robots are high-tech products that integrate mechanical structures, control algorithms, application software, electronic technology, sensing technology, artificial intelligence, and other interdisciplinary technologies.
Service robots are classified according to their purpose and are divided into two categories: professional service robots and household service robots:
Specialized robots are used in special or public areas, such as healthcare, agriculture, firefighting, libraries, supermarkets, and other places. For example, the East Library of Shanghai Smart Library has an intelligent book borrowing and returning robot, which not only provides basic borrowing and returning, renewal, and reader information query functions, but also provides navigation and book recommendation functions. Household robots are special robots used to serve humans and can replace humans to complete household service tasks, such as anti-theft monitoring, safety checks, cleaning and hygiene, item handling, home appliance control, as well as home entertainment, disease monitoring, children's education, time and wake-up call, and household statistics.
The service robot mainly consists of a power supply, engine, sensor, controller, camera, connection part, and display panel.
